Anybody seen that little sticker at the back of the motor it covers one of the welsh plugs....well why does it say 3.9 litre when its on a 4.0 motor i just seen my 5 th today on a matching numbers ed falcon? i thought they were the same any way but what about peolpe in speedway who have to use 3.9 litre falcon engines? and are they the same its just badges?

were there more numbers? maybe it says 3983cc

Perhaps they had some leftover 3.9L blocks they wanted to use up before the EF. Nobody would think to check motor when buying it new. Car manufacturers do some strange things at times.

Scratching . . . maybe the sticker is just for the welsch plug, or maybe they just didn't change the part number.

it says 3.9 and then when it was manufactured the au engine says 4.0 and then the date...just a strange thing wondered if anybody else had seen it
