Hi all , got a eb 3.9l mpi ,first thing got given the car over 12 months ago . it would start and run for 10 seconds found out it was the petrol pump . let the car sit till 3 weeks ago . got new fuel pump and put it in .since then found the the car had irregular spark (firing ever now n then). replaced dizzy with new dizzy (no spark) put old dizzy back in (got spark still irregular) and now still not starting not even sounding like ti wants to, only whinding over.

now am i right in saying that it dose not matter where the dizzy is positioned as long as everything is lined up and in correct firing order?

Yeah, it's gotta line up exactly like the other one. How is the coil?, has it got any cracks in it? You gotta remove it and the bracket to see the cracks.

When you swap dizzys, you put the new one in, in the same spot the old one was in.
