Hi Guys,

This is the power my car has made since getting an ITS Stage 3PS kit, a manual conversion and a Haltech Interceptor piggy back chip.

10 March 05: Automatic Transimssion 130rwkw

Image

03 June 05: Manual Transmission 152.1rwkw

Image

08 June 05: Manual Transmission & Haltech Interceptor 171.7rwkw

Image

A 20rwkw between auto and manual transmissions, another 20rwkw gain with an after market chip.

171.7rwkw = 230.25Hp

What next :?:

Good work mate, you've gotta be happy with that!

It's a shame the auto run wasn't done on the same dyno to make a better comparison, although atleast they were all dyno dynamics.
Did they do another baseline run this morning before fitting the chip ? And if so was it the same as the other day ?

I did an overlay of your last 2 runs to show the gains you've made and where.

Image

Just looking at the new run it keeps climbing well where it's died in the a*** with the stock ECU. Did they up your rev limiter too or is that all just fiddling with the timing and A/F ratio ?

isnt the stage 3ps kit meant to be quoted at 160rwkw? and you achieved 130rwkw (auto tho) 30rwkw out, even on an auto was a fair amount off the quoted figure?

or ar ethe quoted figures taken off manual transmissions?

Hyena,

Thanks for doing that overlay. Thats brilliant, and no, they did not up the rev limiter. Everything was achieved by fiddling with only AFR's.

The peak power difference between the 152 run and the 171 run is approx 20rwkw. However, there is a 30rwkw difference where the engine hits the rev limiter.

On the 152 run the limiter cuts in at 140rwkw. On the 171 run the limiter cuts in at 170rwkw. So over all I have gained 20rwkw extra at peak power, but 30rwkw over the rpm range.

there is deffinately not 20rwkw difference between an auto and manual.
100% certain on that one.

saying that: 170rwkw is awesome :D

Very nice results Shugg :o From installing the Haltech, what was the difference like on the bum-o-meter? She must pull hard now.

Hey Shugg, with all this new found power how does it compare to Hyena's car from a rolling start in 1st, and then another one in 2nd ??

I'm curious to know... :P

Fair enough. But that's the difference I got when I changed up the auto for the manual. I could feel the extra power, and thats what the dyno readouts showed me. I know dydo's cannot be 100% accurate, but they do give the ball park figure. So what else can I say?

Yeah, she is pulling harder. The power has been gained throughout the whole rpm range. Every gear revs out very smoothly until it hits the limiter. If there was no limiter she would still be making power.

Yeah, pipped at the post once again by the mighty Hyena. Tried to have a couple of traffic light starts earlier this evening (not so successfull in peak hour traffic). But you must admit mate, I am getting closer and closer (the nose of my car still level with your rear quarter pannel). But what would you expect when you got the stage 4 kit and I got the stage 3PS kit. Wally
