s**t yes!!
Not a big fan of the torrie looks, but with a ford engine stuck in there i might be turned. Does that camera that you ummmm "borrowed" have some store of video mode? Cause that would be swell if you could be a clip of it in motion.
Congrats on frankinstiening a part of Aussie history :D

were di ya get the carby setup???

i made it!, i used a twin webber setup off my escort as a guide for intake length, throat angle and where i actually wanted the carbies to sit so they didnt hit the chassis when the engine moved, (at the rear carby theres not much room, but enough), the manifold is essentially 2 3mm steel plates for the ends with exhaust tub as the inlets all welded and brazed together and powder coated, turned out pretty good i thought for a shed jobby. yeah the camera ive borrowd off my mate does have vid funtions my next event ill get some footage and chuck it up! :D

That is honestly wicked! It's a rather tight fit by the looks of it, but by the sounds of things, the result was worth the work.

Cheers

its been ages (2 years!!!!) but i think its time for a quick update!

The Toralcon goes amazing and its time for an upgrade!!!

Since its original build we havent touched a thing! other than a few dizzy tweaks that was it!.. we bought a billet quickshifter for it and made a better undertray for the air flow but basically its stayed as originally build for the past 2 years...until we decided to pull the reliable 3.9 EA out and put in a EF XR6 4.0!.. we got it for $900, stripped her down to her undies and blueprinted lighetened/balanced all the bottom end.. the xr head has had a heap of work done with all casting dags removed and all the inlet/exhaust ports cleaned and opened a fraction more.. the whole motor has been rebuilt and last night was finally lowered into the engine bay and i must say a red rocker covered xr6 motor looks amazing in the torrie engine bay :)

Ill get some pics tonight of the new motor install but for now heres a few old pics from 2 years ago when we first built her :)

Also im getting some incar and external footage sorted as we speak so i can shown all what a ford powered torana can do :)

If u have any questions fire away guys!

cheers
Matty
