i just got given a 5 speed to go in my EB series 2 6cyl ,have a few questions .can i use the auto tailshaft and cross member ,will the ECU have problems without the auto connected .

been covered many times... have a look in the driveline workshop.

in short
tail shaft yes
auto crossmember - maybe, heard of it, not done myself
ecu - look for the manual conversion guide in the tech docs forum, use resistors to trick the ecu

With a EBII the auto cross member with fit as they have two bolt hole positions in the body.

Never did the resistor mod, no problems at all have occurred. Although i did have to rewire the manual loom as the position for the neutral switch wires/reverse sender and so on where different.
