if you're gonna go to all the trouble to fit a 6 speed auto then why not go to all the trouble of fitting a 6 speed manual instead - less loss thru the drivetrain and more economical...

i'd be inclined to say the 6 speed auto will be more economical then the 6 speed manual.
some of the cruising RPM's for the auto are awesome.

afaik you also need to arrange some way of driving the speedo..... i've heard the 6 speed manuals dont have a speedo sender mount on them

Its called the ABS sensor! No need for trans mounted sensors now every car has ABS.

4.1 1st gear in the 6 speed auto + 4.11 diff gears wouldn't see much traction :|

theres a thing there on the ford web site where you can opt for a 4.11 gear upgrade for an extra $400 bucks.

sorry didn't see that :oops: did you say the first gear is 4.1?. so what are the ratio for the other 5.
