Fords fluid is thicker than dexiii, esn m2c 134d spectification is not meet by dexiii possibly leading to premature failure and leaking

Even though the pumps didn't change and holden have been using the same pumps with DEX3 with no issue. The ford Type F fluid will some times help with steering shudder.

Some people would be shocked to know that the special fluid is only tractor transmission fluid.
I buy it in 5L bottles from Fuchs, works out hell cheaper then buying 1L bottles of 'special' power steering fluid.

I dont know if some douche put dex iii in their instead of the proper fluid,

Dex 3 is pretty much the same thing as the "proper fluid". It's all gear oil.

Just like you can use brake fluid as clutch fluid, it's still hydraulic fluid.

I've run Dex 3 in a reco Power steering pump from repco since install and never had an issue, it seems it is a pretty wide use fluid too because it's what I run in my T5 too, according to the factory recommendations.
