My mates 89' telstar engine is on the way out, he needs a new engine but really wants to try and fit a 6 cyl in it... not that pissy 2.5lt 626 american trash, he wants either an E series or AU engine in it

So what do you guys thing the possibility of this happening is?

gee..
i think you might be pushing it to get the long inline 6 to fit in that engine bay...???
i dont think its going to be possable as the little v6 is half the length of the e series or au 6...

I rate that at 0%.

Before you ask questions, why not get a measuring tape, and use it to see if its even physically possible.
Theres a lot of other motors (jap) that I'd look at before a 240.

no way it would fit, those 2.5L V6's are tucked in there pretty tight as it is.

2.5L V6 is not American, its Japanese.
And no, you're not going to fit a RWD drivetrain into a FWD car.
Find a 2.2L Turbo engine, will slot right in and they go quite well, apart from the torque steer.

ICE is bad MMMMMMMkay....................

a better idea would be to rebuild the 2.2 to handle big boost and turbo her... far cheaper and no huge butchering of the car...
