First things to check are the condition and tension of the 3 V-belts on the front of the engine. The common one on many cars is the aircon belt. How many cars have you heard sounding like a Screaming Banshee taking off at the lights?

if its coming from the front of the motor, maybe belt tensioner pulley bearing seized, loosen the fan belt off and spin waterpump, alternator, tensioner pulleys etc

ya really high pitch squeal and well it just s**t a belt like a month ago and me old man put a new one on it (pain in the a**) when you dont take out the battery 1st anyways after that the car now low revs while idling and when i turn the air con on it drops down to 100 or less than stalls since its a eb II its a duel belt system so the fan and everything runs off 1 and the other etc.. >.< i know a little bit might make another topic and try and discuss ALL me problems i'm having with it heh

hey man
ihad this problem too.
what you gotta do is make sure the belt is pretty dam tight.
i replaced a belt that was squeeky with a new one and only put it on firm. about a month after it started gettin squeeky again and that one snapped off too.
so i bought a new one and put it on very tight and havent had a problem since!

What about converting to thermo fans my mate did it but now its alot more noisy only reason he changed tho is the belt fan came off the spindle and basicaly ripped his radiator to shreads also what could be causing a low idle problem after changing belts ~_^

Does it do it when in neautral and just reving the engine?

Sounds to me like noisy fan belt. Quick fix is to spray some hair spray on it.

you said its noisier on your mates car after converting to thermo fans? It shouldnt, as the fans only come on when engine reachetemp, as aposed to being on all the time.s a pre set

yeah i didnt understand that either but thats what they said and maybe its how they installed it probly bodgy lol well i done some research and found that that screaming noise can also be caused by a dirty now that i come to think of the right filter idk if it was the oil filter or the fuel filter that i read lol i think it was the filter for the fuel before it goes into the engine >.>

Should scare the next car that's egging you to drag at the lights. a couple of jabs with the pedal should make them think twice about dragging you at the lights.

The 3 belt setup is a prick of a setup. Definitely check the tension of the alternator belt. The important thing is you want it tight but not TOO tight as it will stretch the belt.

k in neutral it revs at 800 revs or so in drive reverse and the couple gears (auto) itl under rev inbetween 100-500 revs when i turn the demister or aircon on itl under rev and possibly stall its done it a few times i took it to a mechanic about it he just told me to service it so i guess he just wanted money heh and i checked the belts they are pretty tight but still have a bit of looseness about them dunno how else to say that and yeah i reckon the 3 belt system is a pain in the a** after watching my father try and do it with out taking out the battery to reach one (wasent fun) just after i had done the belt so the engine was hot lol burnt his arm >.> with the new exhuast i'm getten for her yeah no car will think twice about dragging me lol
