gday all

got a 94 xg ute with after market thermo fans

1 10 inch in front of the condenser
1 16 inch behind the radiator
original fan mounted to water pump.

my question is when the air conditioner in turned on the car gets hotter, and when the temp get up the 16 inch fan kicks in and the car gets hotter plus its still running the cruch fan,

any ideas on whats happening?

also Davies Craig recommended the two fans , the 10 inch in front and the 16 inch behind the radiator..

all help is much appreciated

Did you take out your shroud?

Take the thermos off and refit the shroud.

Fans are useless unless properly shrouded.

the car never had a shroud when i bought it, so if i take the 16 fan out put the shroud in will that stop it from getting hotter, and can i leave the 10 inch fan in front of the condenser?

the car is located in mildura Vic and is coming up to whyalla SA with a stop in Adelaide will it make the trip?

Dose the 10 inch turn on when the ac is turned on?
And yes, the 16 inch needs to be fitted with a shroud.

yes as they used the wiering diogram that came with the fans and the same diogram that is in the tech document.

Easiest fix is to fit EL fans. Looks standard and works perfectly.

Yeah the xg rad has a narrower core to thermo conversion isn't that easy Wayne. Get a shroud for the clutch fan and see how it goes. It should have one. Mine did and never got hot.

Depends on how hot it gets and if you turn the ac on.
You can stop by here and fit a shroud if need be.

"NoRmaL"
With "N" being hot and "L" being cold.
Any where from "R" to "L" is fine.
