Hey lads,

Was just having a look under the bonnet this afternoon and found this hose here leaking slightly. It's on the right hand side of the engine and I think it's something to do with the A/C (note second picture text).

Is it something to worry about? Can I fix it myself? If not, how much to have this fixed?

Looks like condensation on the AC Hose.

If it was R134a (AC gas) it wouldn't hang around like that. It would have dispersed into the atmosphere. It may however leave traces of oil behind.
What does it (the liquid) feel like?
Does the AC still work ok?

Hmmm, no moisture present and all very much dry, lol. Must of been frost or condensation or something. So false alarm, sorry guys. :d

Think you're onto something there. The other day i was driving homke and the air con had been on for a good hour. Was giving the car a bit of s**t through the twisties when one of the air con hoses p**sed on my leg, left my sock pretty wet. Had a look afterwoods and couln't find any leaks. Just condensation hopefully :D

The drain hole isn't blocked is it?

should have water coming out when aircon is running or has just been turned off from a small rupper hose on firewall, about half way down, passenger side.

I wouldn't have thought the windscreen would fog up at all unless the air con wasn't working. Having the aircon on while demisting your front windscreen is recommended as the way to do clear it the best/quickest.

My windscreen doesn't fog up. I should add that my aircon works perfectly fine and it only did this after i had turned it off after running it for about an hour. It's only ever done it that once, never since.

It will be condensation, however if its pissing on to your feet the drain hose is likely to be blocked. You can unblock it from underneath using a length of wire with the ended folded over. You will find the drain outlet in the firewall passenger side of centre.
