I've noticed going through the posts, there are alot of questions regarding diffs, their types, what to use etc... which are similar yet me and many others i'm sure have trouble getting the whole picture as only specifics are answered. I'm only suggesting that maybe if someone with a lot of knowhow out there on the forum collaorate a sticky topic that details the in's and outs of em. Eg: define the common types and typical stockies, what types are suited for street/drag applications (ratios), where you can get em and what kind of price range would be expected. I've read how diffs work on howstuffworks.com and while this is a good basic overview, I would prefer some more ford related info so it can be put to practise.

Cheers. [/b]

lol you're welcome

i didnt cover ratios there as what ratio suits one setup may not suit another, and finding the ideal ratio usually involves a little trial and error

honestly, IMO anything lower than 3.5 isnt really suited to much more than the track in a falcon, personally, i'd go 3.45:1

hehe :) you'll enjoy it thats for sure.

Interceptors guide with some ratio additions and maybe the different diff setup combos on the ford line up would also be good to have added to the doco or update the existing sticky :) nice work on the guide too dude.

what do you mean by that?

as i pointed out earlier, theres no point me giving a list of suggested diff ratios as each application will perform differently depending on factors like power/torque graph, driving technique, available traction, type of diff centre, gearbox, gearbox ratios, induction type, etc
