agree...... handling first then worry about the go fast pits later. descent set of brake pads then some quality rotors later on.

you wanna handle & stop earlier then standard once the snorkel goes on.

goose typical thread polution.. and it only took 12 posts to reach this point.

the Smart lock system is far from ideal, most insurers are happy with it cause they don't see E series falcons as targets for theives, not for joyrides anyway, just for smash and grab the stuff inside.

but they are a pretty simple system to get past for a theif these days.

I'm sure plenty can attest to this.

as far as brake upgrades go, the stock system on the falcons is pretty underutilised and underrated, yep you can get big brake kits for them, BUT its not entirely needed unless you are running HUGE power, at present I'm pulling just on 430 newtons and my brake setup is,
Standard ventilated DBA kangaroo paw rotors NOT gas slotted, NOT cross drilled, EBC Green stuff pads, tese things are bloody awesome, Motul dot 5.1 fluid and Stainless braided line (more cause I can than anything else)
I have had my brakes on fire they have been that hot, not just smoking but miday visible flames and rotors all colours of the rainbow, and the car would still pull up as hard as when they were cool. Remember you are pulling up 1500 kg's not massive weight.

But someone will tell you otherwise, but just my opinion

i think cos smartlock isnt so "smart" nowadays and thieves can easily break in. to get insurance i had to fit my car with an imboliser. just for that extra piece of mind its worth it imo

my must have mod would have to be my exhuat system, hightech long primary headers, highflo cat, custom 2.5" 1 muffler. sounds unreal not like any other falcon ive heard.

this is followed up closly by my brakes, DBA slotted rotors, greenstuff... wow they are goood fun, ive gone on long mountain runs, and my arms are giving up before the brakes are, lol.

rushed.
