Standard XR6T runs a twin 2.25" system. That will be overkill for just a six cylinder XT, a single 2.5" system should be enough unless your doing some pretty drastic work to it, and if you are you should just get an XR6T to begin with :)

The exhaust system is under the bloody car, so your not gunna see it.
And it's a stock system, they don't make much sound at all.
For a loud noise and performance wise a Lukey (my personal pick for there noise) or Redback 2 1/2" system is going to be much better.
It'll prolly also be lighter and cheraper than an dual pipe factory ford system!
And then just pick what ever tip you want for the bit that people can actually see!
You do relise that teh exhaust system on the XR6T is set up as it is because there is a turbo sitting up in the top of the exhaust manifold right?

the standard T exhaust with its mufflers will flow just about as much as a 3" single muffler system afaik. I'm running the T system in mine and its awesome. i only paid $80 for it and $200 to bend up a front pipe and install it.

Get the Turbo system with the cat in it as the cat goes from single in to twin outlets.
and get someone to weld it up shouldnt be a drama.

There is nothing wrong with running a T system on a N/A motor many people are doing this and its been dyno proven to be the goods

if you do any more than a cai extractors exhaust and a tune 2.5" becomes restrictive. on a cammed nizpro n/a motor (nizpro manifold also aswell as the usuals) they picked up 10rwkw by going to a 3" exhaust over 2.5"

believe me this system on an na makes enough noise equal to if not more than a 2.5" system and the note is devine sounds alot better than the 2.5"
doesnt have the usual raspy sound rather a smoooth note similar to the jap 6's. the reason the turbos are so quiet is because the turbo is a restriction in the exhaust itself so it quietens it down a touch.

if your going to do a fair amount of work to the car go the T system if your not a 2.5" system will suffice.

i Think nizpro now fit the same exhaust system to the T as the NA. Thats the impression i got when i asked simon a month back......dunno if thats because they wernt doing enough NA's to justify making them and just make do or if they are the best thing for it???

probably because they dont like the NA apparently they have stopped producing B series parts that are specifically NA ie cams being the main one.
