Hi ,
Ive got e ef xr6 with a rumbling aircon compressor, the aircon still works fine
im just wondering what this would cost to get it fixed ,and what would be the problem??

I'd say your AC clutch is stuffed. I did replace one on a XF, also rebuilt the compressor while I had it out. I'm not sure if it can be done on a E series compressor though.

does it do it all the time, make sure its not a pully. also if its been worked on make sure it doesn have to much oil or gas it, as this will cause noise as well

Check the idler pulley, it can give the impression that the compressor is crook.
The compressor bearing could also be the cause.
I'm pretty sure the EF/EL compressors are more or less unserviceable.

My aircon gets loud and vibrates a bit when I turn it right up, not good?

I recently regassed my aircon i added 6oz ester oil and all noises went!
Pag oil is another one... your local air con service agent should do this anyways when u get a re-gas!
