just pu new air intake on my eb, consists of XH snorkel, EA throttle body to airbox pipe and K+N panel filter-NOT CHEAP. the problem im having is that my old air filter (which i never touched) had the filters facing up, however if i put the K+N one the same way the air box lid doesnt close proplerly, but if i put it up the other way it fits like a glove. is this normal, does it matter or should i take it back to find out WTF is going on???

Metal mesh side should be down, i.e. the throttle body side.

ok, just duble checked and there is wire mesh on both sides, and it will definantly only fit with the bulk of the filters facing down.

o.k dont know if anyone else has had this problem, but if you have i just found out its O.K. i went to sprints and asked them and they said its fine, but just to be sure i went to Autobarn and they said it is designed like that to allow higher flow.
