Does anybody know if this snorkel advertised on ebay is the au xr8 type part number TAUTVE-9A624A. this dude tells me it genuine ford with a massive opening but im not sure if hes full of crap.http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... :IT&ih=013

That is a AU intake, as it is squareish.

Not sure if it is the XR one or not though.

its a ba xr6t snorkle. its the same as the au xr8 snorkle but doesnt have the tickford wings on it..

and they are avalable from ford for about the price the seller is asking...

Are you sure of that,im keen to buy one but need to know its the big one. I dont need the tickford wings on it,im sure it wont make it flow anymore air with wings :lol:

yep.
i got one on my car..
its the large mouth one..its identical to the au xr8 one.

if you go to ford and give them that part number they will give you the ba xr6t one..

which the part no has been changed from TAUTVE-9A624A..
to ba-9A624A..

i just found the reciept for mine and it cost $37 from ford...

so would you recommend it as a worthwhile mod to a stock ba 6cyl.

Ive asked the guy on ebay what the part number on it is. He said..... BA5676543GF. Does this mean anything to anyone?

Yes it makes it a little more snappy but dont expect to much. You wont get a much cheaper price than what he's advertising for aswell, i got mine for $33 from some wholesaler.

I got mine on ebay for $39 its got a huge opening compared to stock BA intake.
Also change filter to high flow & it has made a bit of difference to response!
