if u replace your plastic intake piping with stainless steel, do you get any gains out of this?? is it legal???

on the el system's by changing the first pipe coming from the airbox to the flexi bend i gained 4rwkw

custom 3500rpm hi stall

143rwkw and 407rwnm on CMS dyno

oh ok, so changing it rite up to the throttle body would be better??? where u get the stainless from?????

from the air box t the throttlebody is always a good idea... :wink: in a three inch mandrel bent size... most exhaust shops could knock you up one... :wink: and yes... i do have a 3 inch mandrel bent intake....

same here i'm running a three piece 3' system to the tb.just make sure you have the ef airbox back plate with the bellmouth as it already has a 3' opening rather than the el-au which only has a 2.5' opening!

would it make that much of a diff if it all was 2.5 inch???

yes..as you'd have a mis matched size difference when you went to connect it to the throttlebody with the rubber ef sleve..

see most of the intake is 3' already on the el-au's only the bit that goes into the airbox goes to 2.5' and that's where the restriction is!
