i have heard that putting a GT-P typhoon airbox on a standard ba xt help improve airflow, how does this work like what are the differences and is it just a straight bolt on to the xt or is some modification required?

The typhoon inline 6 not v8 airbox is the same as the normal ba one with an extra snorkel going behind the headlight and a bigger upper snorkel. When done with a high flow filter like K&N it's a huge gain over stoke.

But even better than them is a BPR CAI or a Growler but they're all $500+ so the typhoon is a really good start

I don't understand what you mean with the v8 one? Those pics are of a typhoon intake the xr8's - gtp's look like this Image But if you're asking if the v8 intake would work on the inline 6 then yes it would it'd just take some extra pipe to go from the airbox to the throttle body. But the typhoon would probably still be better. inless it was like this I guess Image
