Does anybody know if you can program a say EF or later remote to work on a series 1 EB Fairmont as the series 1 remotes arn't available from ford anymore.
My remote was in poor condition when I purchase this car 3 years ago with cracks to the hard plastic flexible button(stupid design) and does not function anymore.
I would like to get this working before i sell it.
any info please.

My mom's EBII remote and my EF one are identical, cept she has a Trunk boutton which I do not (mines a wagon).

EBII to AUI were smartlock, EB1 wasn't dunno they are compatible - I'd say not.

the eb1 remote i had is different to the EF xr6 one. it about lenght of key and about the same wide with rubber loop on top to hook on key ring.

the eb1 does have smart lock(same key, locking buttons as my ef) and all of it was working except the factory siren which on occassion would make a soft dying cow sound sometimes.
