hey was driving today n my stez started to cut off the when i got to the lights put on brake all the dash stoped working this happened for a few ks the she died
bought n put new batt in it read 12.5 then when i started it still reads 12.5 it did fluctuate.1 from 12.5 to 12.6 for a while whilst observing. if its the alt is it just a brush repair or more serious????

the battery light did not come on either if that makes difference

Get a new Alternator from the wreckers.

Get an alt from the wreckers, slap it in, clean up and or redo the bushes/regulators yourself. Not too difficult and then you've got a 'reco' alternator!

why not just buy a new one, then you wont have any issues for a few years..

a wrecker one might be cheap but may only last a few months?
