what fusible link would yous use wont matter if the 70a fuse is left in the main fuse holder instead of say a 80 would it?

leave it as per factory, why do u want to change the fuse? Upping the fuse rating beyond wiring amperage/tolerance means that if somethings gonna fry it wont be ur fuse, thats why ur fuse is there.

what amperage fuse would you use for a 85 amp alternator if you upgrade the main wire

whats the wearing in guide for a new e series engine just wondered

Why would you upgrade the wire if you're not upgrading the alternator? The stock specification wire is fine.

You don't change fuses for a higher rated one, it won't work as it is meant to in case of fault otherwise.

I assume that a Bosch BXF1259 alternator isn't the standard model? But IIRC the stock ones are 85 amp.
