Read through this, it's still going well. It's easy once you remove both brackets for grinding. You may not have to ease the bottom mounting bracket if the alternator immediately fits in ok, it depends on how far the hardened bolt boss protrudes.
I'm still running the larger EF pulley with no problems at all.
