I have recently had to replace my auxillary shaft as the gear had been chewed. A couple of days ago I found out from a mechanic that the ACA distributor is the cause for this. The shaft in the dizzy expands at a greater rate than the housing and thus causes great friction, thus causing the helical gear to bind.
Answer: Buy Bosch! The genuine OEM part is the only option! If anyone has other parts to tell about that are dodgy, post here.

I have an ACA MAP sensor, are they dodgy???? Because I replaced it, the OE part was stuffed as tested, and the car hasn't run right since.

ive had one of their dizzy's and one of their oxy sensors for quite a few k's and no poblems here. as the guy at repco explained it, they have no problems with them for ages, then will get 2-3 in a short space of time. im guessing its poor quality control/testing

Yeah, that makes sense. It really comes back to $$$, if you can afford OEM, then get OEM.
cjh: If I were you, I'd get an OEM one, it only makes sense in your case. Even if it doesn't fix it, at least you know that it wasn't the MAP.
