Girlfriend has just got her EB Falcon, It had my old ED xr6 engine which had headgasket changed etc etc quite a bit on money spent in it.

Now that the engine has gone into her car shes only getting 300kms out of a tank, (used to be 400-450).
She has
-Newleads
-New plugs
-New O2
-New Air filter
-New exhaust

I honeslty don't know what it is, I've heard a story that if a car is running colder than normal all the time that is uses more fuel???

She has a thermo conversion on the car and the thermos kick in litterly every 4minutes....is this normal? and can you change the settings?
Much help appreciated

Thats a bit odd, I barely ever here my thermos turn on. Maybe the cam timing is out? Does it feel a bit sluggish to what it should be?

well the thermos coming on like that is probably a good thing.

2 things i can think of:

-is it using the ED ECU (i think it wuold have to wouldnt it)
-did you change the fuel reg/pump as xr6 pumps more fuel and creates a higher pressure

Yeh Ive heard two stories about thermos comign on...these come on ALL the time, every 4 minutes and the temp gauge is very cold.
Its still the EB Ecu, and havn't changed the fuel pump (stock eb fuel pump)
im guessing thats where hte under lying problem is?

Fuel pump is no different.
EB ECU will learn around the XR reg as well and lean it back out (as lean as a stock 4L runs away), so not your problem.

Find the thermatic switch for the thermos and adjust it like gogetta said.

New thermostat probably wouldn't hurt either if it's not warming up at all.

change the fuel filter..

Also has the driving pattern changed? U would be surprised what short distance drives does to your economy (e.g short 5km runs to the shops or work)

car is not running rich at all?? no fuel smell? check for fumes, unburnt fuel. ect. i no its a new o2 sensor but it could be a dodgy 02 sensor or ecu something isn't telling something the truth.
