What rpm does the motor idle at now with the new cam?

Can your turn the idle speed up a little bit to compensate for the stalling?

ey, i done about 110km now with the cam.. gave it the stick last nite.......oooo yeah its niiiiiicee! i took it to about 4500rpm in second gear and it was pulling fairly hard and wanted to keep going!. it idles around 500-700. it hunts alot but is settling down now and the exhaust sounds a bit beefier now aswell 8-)
i got an exchange cam. u buy one off them for like 130 i think and leave a deposit of 120 or sumthin and wen u give them your stock one back they give u the deposit back. the shims were $48 from ford.

hopefully on satday ill be giving the car a good run in the dandenongs :D havent been there in a while.

i took my car out to the dandenongs this arvo and gave it heaps. its insane!! the torque this cam produces is so smooth. its the best feelin holding it in second gear around a sharp corner and just planting it out of the corner! :D the idle is all over the place atm tho coz i took off my ISC and still playin around with base idle. i strongly recommend this cam. its perfect for day to day driving and street use 8-)

Was a nice day for a drive in the Dandenongs today :D
Did you go for a blast up the tourist road?

Will be interesting to see what fuel economy figures you get with this cam .... that is if you can hold yourself back from using the extra grunt and drive it normally for a tankfull

Set your Timing at 12 degrees BTDC if you can and raise your idle RPM by 50 to 100 RPM, see how you go, it will rise up and down a little but not as bad, also another answer maybe to get a manual XR6 ECU for your make and model and see how you go.

Not sure if you are asking me, but I been lead footing allll the time , just for the sheer fun of it and I really havent been keeping tabs on it. Must do this sometime, also the diff change alters the fuel usage also.
