Yea, the old Carby donks are fantastic! So easy to work on! But those stupid EFI's and their stupid Airflow Sensor!! Used to fail on a regular basis. Was allways funny coz she would be running beautifully, then I would pull up at a set of lights, look in the rear vision mirror and see a smoke screen behind me!! But Yea, Full wraps on the old Carby model! They are great!

LOL hahaha nar xf in the shed havn't got that on the road yet

nar this is my EF fairmont 4.0L

I was racing commy's skyline's 4x4's wrx's and ford's

up and down morrayfield road in morrayfield(brisbane outer suburb)

gave some of them fast car a great run for there money

skylines i could beat all stock ones and take a tea brake while racing them lol

but ill be honest ill have more fun racing commys. If i went back without a s**t highway diff, something with more up and go and i could of been the fastest bastard there lol besides a few cars

funnyest part of the night was when EVERYONE saw this new 05 SS ute enter mac's diveway side ways and got stuck with 2 tyres in the air.

all u could hear was him reving the f**k out of the motor and no movement it was FUNNYS s**t everyone got a laugh

Well back to my car

Last night when i just came into my street u could hear a lifter tickering away then straight after she stalled and when u turn her over it was like starting a car with flat battery but if i remember the lights were not fading while cranking.

went out when i woke up and checked over the car the motor oil lvl fine water bit low and auto lvl fine.

no water oil mix everything seems to be in its home.

also i cranked the motor and it started right away but u could hear the lifters.

ANY IDEA'S????

Thx

Possibly an oil pressure problem... what's the guage reading?
First thing i'd do is grab an oil pressure tester and check it properly.

As for the X Flow, my mate had an XF speedway car, it was pumping 160 rwkw on stock ports.

LOL yer

hay i drove it nicerly and got 680km on the recon head before i got heavy footed

Found the problem

My heater hose EXPLODED LOL (one from the bottem of thermostat)

The motor starts up fine minus the 1 f**k lifter tickering away i put back in and been meaning to replace this weekend.

She seems to idel smooth (15sec's) but i havn't got down to repco to get some heater hose to put onto the motor so i can run in for few mins and see if it's ok
