Like instead of going TFI---COIL

About $400 - $450

then another $100 for the blaster coil

I might just wait for a second hand unit to pop up, but I'll get the coil new

I was having a sqiz on the Rocket Ind's site, and came across a new version of the 6AL. Its the 6AL-2. Has a dial for the rev limiter instead of the plug in blocks.
Might look into that one. :)

What wires did you tap into to hook up the MSD unit????

power wire from coil is used to turn the 6AL on, trigger wire from coil goes to the white wire on the 6AL.

heavy red goes to bat+ heavy black goes to bat- (not to chassis ground)
light black goes to coil- orange goes to coil+
Mag pickup (green and violet) are not used

Could always use MSD Streetfire CDI. same output as the 6AL but is far cheaper and has dial adjusted rev limit.

but being these things already have rev limiting by the ECU you don't need a 6AL, you only need a 6A.

Performance Parts Plus in towsnville had blaster 2 and 3 coils on sale this week for $90. they ship anywhere in OZ

PM me for prices on ANY MSD gear

from who?

we do the blaster 2 and 3 for $105. Had them on sale for $90 for the last week.
pretty sure i can beat the price on the 6AL2 with out even trying

6AL2 on an EFI car is a waste of money anyway. all you are paying for is a rev limiter, SF CDI or a 6A is all thats needed

there is no 6cyl kit. i can sell you the wire by the meter and the terminals and boots.

boots and terminals are $3.00 to $3.50 each,
i'll need to double check the cost of the wire

ever thing that is needed comes in the box.

any good quality spiral wire lead will do and the stock plug with the gap opened up a further 0.25mm.

when setting up the CDI follow the points instructions that come with it.
All MSD '6' and SF CDIs will go as i posted above

will work with EA EB ED EL

light black goes to coil- orange goes to coil+(these two wires are sheathed together)
Mag pickup (green and violet) are not used

EF and AU need to use an MSD DIS-4

For memory the 6AL-2 has a two stage rev limiter and is digital and the 6AL has a single stage rev limiter and is analog and the 6AL has no rev limiter and it analog
