I'm interested to know if anyone here uses an MSD ignition system and blaster coil on there NA I6?

Have you had any improvement? Are there gains to be had? How was it set up?

Cheers

I haved used it on an Xflow 250, carby, and it made an extra 25hp at the wheels. The engine had 10:1 comp ratio, so if you have comp ratio like that, it is worth it, and makes it better on fuel too.

The dizzy was an XD electronic one ( regraphed ), and remove the ignition module, as the MSD unit takes over. It was an MSD 6AL. Unfortunately I don't have any pics.

I'm keen to know that one too, as I will need it for the next engine as it will have somewhere around 10-10.5:1 comp ratio.

They just splice into the coil wires, they have an in and out side to the wiring.
Like instead of going TFI---COIL
goes TFI----CDI unit----COIL
Piece of piss.

That sounds retarded reading over it LOL, hopefully you get what I mean
