get a J3 chip and get it tuned properly, you will pick up a fair bit of power all the way through the rev range and better economy

His car is a EL/XH hybrid, pretty much an AU engine but with a dizzy.

my au doesnt have a crank angle sensor in the aux shaft. also if it is there dont turn it....it helps the injectors know when to fire where the dizzy doesnt...screws up lots

going by your signature its an xh so you can advance the ignition timing a few degrees.
it would need be rotated anti clockwise.. but you really need to put the ecu into self test mode to adjust the timing with the aid of a timing light..

thanks for the replies and yes it is a hybrid engine

i have a j3 from TI on its way
i got some minor head work when the cam was installed as a result of a blown head gasket and wrapped head ports matched and polished, shaved

i guess the next step in modifying is bottom end or forced induction

If you're going to turbo it dont convert it to a BBM.

The BBM has a butterfly which opens at 3800rpm, which can restrict airflow when the car is turbod. It is also easier to plum with the log manifold.
