maybe you need the VCT ecu to runs things properly?

have you got the VCT mechanism to swicth over at least?

the VCT drinks alot of fuel around town regardless, but on the highway should still return a little over 9L per 100km's

not sure how to help although my auII xr vct ute (xr is irrelevant with vct's) returns 650kms a tank consistently, but it's not a 65litre tank. Closer to 80 litres in the utes, which makes 650 seem pretty average.

my ute is a 1 tonne with lowline canopy racked out for tools not real light but it never got over 550 ks even with just a bare tray

I've got a custom steel tray with wooden decking and also carries gas bottles and lots of tools on a regular basis.it's not light. And my right foot is heavier :P
It's also got near 250,000km's of very, very hard, dodgy driving before I owned it.
Start checking sensors, basic tune up, plugs leads..... Elimination is the game.
