Why is everybody having such a hard time making AU cams? I get all excited reading about wade cams, but they dont do them, and I dont think CMS does either (correct me if Im wrong). I dont know if crow does them. About the only one I do know of personally is JMM.

I was thinking of a modest engine setup of 4480's with 2.25 cat, 2.5 stainless zorst and single aerochamber muffler, Xr8 intake boxed pod, JMM dev 3HL cam, adjustable vernier gear and high lift springs, cappa flash and dyno tune.

Is the DEV3HL any good as far as cams go? I havnt read about many people getting them on here its always the Dev5 or that dud dev4.

What other options are available for an AU?

crow do make one. they will also custom make a cam if you request it.

the different rocker ratio and such mean the e series cams are a bit better though

Yep crow do them and CMS might be able to help you as well..... but regardless which cam you pick you must run piggyback chip or flash tune your existing ecu

Yes, I do the E series cams & the AU cams as well for N/A & forced induction, I did a stage 2 grind for Simon who has a deicated AU LPG ute with the factoy ECU but its has diferent maps compaired to the petrol motor...unfortunatly the AU (on petrol) does requires the ECU to have an edit of some sort & most of the cams for the AU from any grinder will say the same....... & I'm not talking about a stage 1 cam that certin Performance shops make very minor changes to the grinde & call it stage 1, which I know that the AU will handle with the factory ECU.

I SERIOUSLY should pull my finger out & get my web site going

to much to do...... not enough time to do it in !!

cheers

what motor did you have in it previosly hybird or per hybird if its pre hybird then that ECU will be fine......if its the hybird then you may have a problem as that is the question that every one wants answerd & the only way I can find out is stick my stg 3 cam in one which is what I'm planning to do...........or get an early EL computor to be safe....

Hooray fantastic news! Im glad joe can do AU cams, It will give me the excuse to visit sydney one day :)

A capa flash tuner is on the cards anyway, so thats no biggie.

Probably be looking for something that will pull from 2000 till about 5000 if at all possible. with valve mods and vernier gear OFC. But thats in the future, for now, it is good to know what I will be doing down the track.
