Ride: AUIII XR6 HP

Power: 137 rwkw

Location: sydney
NSW, Australia

Got my XR6 HP dyno'd this morning. Thought id post it up as so many people wanna know how much power you get from basic mods. Got paci comps, h/f cat, 2.5", k&n, modified intake. Pushed out 136.5rwkw. Got 112 stock. This was on a dyno dynamics dyno, in shootout mode so it may vary to other dynos. Interesting note: When we opened the airbox up so the air filter wasn't relevant it actually lost 4kw, probably due to hot air being sucked in. When removing the filter and closing the airbox up, it made exactly the same power as with the filter in. Just proves cold air induction is a must, and K&N's give no (or very little) loss. This was all on 95ron fuel also. Hope this stops the next 50 how much power posts?

Thats a nice figure, congrats.

bit skeptive about a 24kw gain with exhaust & small intake mods.

There maybe a small correction factor there as the intake temp showed higher than the ambient temp, but still they were pretty close so it wouldnt have been much...

Have you taken it down the 1/4 mile yet?

Nah, wanna sell it and get a BA XR6T. No point killing it now. If i decide to keep it for a bit, i'll get the heads, cam and flash tune done. Then i'll run it.

Yep there right kw, HP is also quicker because it's lighter and doesn't have IRS

The figure must be right. Got the stock run on a hot day though. Wasn't too hot today, bout 22, but the figures are there. I also got new fuel pump, injectors, coil pack, plugs sensors etc... since the stock run.Its not too unreasonable. Was gunna get the VCT but theres no cams for it yet. Plenty for the HP plus, as above its faster cos of the power to weight ratio over the VCT. Anyhow wanted people to see the difference with no cold air induction and without the k&n. Thats the reason for the post....

thought i'd post my dyno results on a fresh motor which has only done 30k's,its an ebxr8,187rwkw and was breaking down at 4500rpm,i've since change the coil to an accel super coil 140008 and problem seem to gone,i've now done 1200k's so i'll be getting the tuning finished soonish, hoping for around 210-220 rwkw.

Yeah figures sound right to me, i got 127kw on 26c day with same mods as yours, and yours would have a fresher engine and you have better cam an bigger exhaust valves

Its enough to make a VR SS owner not too happy this arvo. I'll get it on another dyno soon, not in shootout mode. See if theres a big difference.

well for 1 there was no normal AUXR6

only the HP non vct
and the vct

HP no irs which made it lighter and faster than the VCT XR6 even though it had more power
