Hey does anyone know if the idler shaft run off the timing chain which drives the oil pump and syncronizer are the same between au and an ef engine?

if your talking about the aux shaft?
the sump needs to be removed ,the harmonic balancer needs to be removed, the timing chain tensioner removed, timing case needs to be removed, the timing chain needs to be removed, the aux shaft chain gear needs to come off, then there are 2 small hex key bolts that hold the retainer plate that need to be removed, then you just pull the shaft out.... |

just put another au engine in... stil much much cheaper and easier than the dohc
i told you the aux shaft was going to fail, after the thread where your pump drive gear striped.. |

lol lol lol,
my work would make you cry, it must be the king of dodgeys, and i do all my work properly tyvm, i havent had that many cars come back, i need to visit my mums more often and build that engine. in regards to timing chain, can they be purchased new or anything? also what would be better to run on that block the ef head or an au head?
