G'day all,

recently upgraded from a 93 eb to 01 au series 2, been very happy with the car considering the price i got it for,

have recently dropped the old exhaust out from the eb (had a 3 inch in it) and put it into the au, i don't recall knocking or hitting anything when i done it, however when i was on my way to work thismorning when stopped at a set of lights the speedometer was moving from 0kph-20kph while in drive?

didn't think to much of it at the time 2 minutes later next set of lights same thing is happening? speedometer is moving from 0-20 up and down quite quickly....ok so forgot about it for a while then 10-20minutes later next set of lights....nothing? speedomoeter doesn't even move........It's not a big problem i know but just wondering what could be causing this? just something for me to look out for in the future, cheers all

Could be a faulty sender or rubbed wiring. Have a wriggle of the gearbox harness and see if the problem goes away for a while...

I had the same issue with my AU. Left it, didnt try fixing it. I had the car for 4 years.

Check the connections on the back of the cluster as well. My Ex's old EF had random speedo problems, turned out to be corrosion on those connections.
