wouldnt you have to change the thermostat as the au has the temp sensor on the back of the head and the ea uses the thermostat for its temp sensor

it was like this when i brought it and hasn't missed a beat. i was going to check the compression of the cylinder cause i think iam losen a bit of power through pited valves... but i think the ea head has a smaller cc area then the au meaning that my compression should be higher ?? dose anyone know what compression it should be at ?? and do you think i should thro a Au head back on it ?
