is it possible to just use the AU rocker cover on my 3.9L EA head for now


bought a AU head today and want to get some "work" done to it then put it on in a year or 2

ok cool , and how about the bolt's do i need any kind of special set up since there different the 13mm ones

no it won't as where the rocker cover fits to the 1/2 moon at the front and rear of the head late ed onwards are rounded and ea- early ed are not so just wait for the head swap. look at the front of both heads together and it will be obvious.

ya your right :( wish there was a way to make the rocker cover fit for now

I had an EF rocker cover on my 3.9L with the original rocker gear, and now an AU rocker cover on my EF engine. The only problems are fitting the spark plug leads and throttle cable on top of the rocker covers.
