Hey all,

I had an full exhaust system fitted last week (not sure if its related but just giving some back-ground info here) and anyway, when im driving in any gear at partial throttle (say 25%) the motor will happily and freely rev right up until about 3000 rpm then the exhaust and engine becomes noticeably louder and the power tapers off and the engine revs almost slow to a stand-still then if i put the boot into in it will take off but still doesnt seem very up-happy about it, its also using a bit more fuel than usual

Does anyone know what could be the problem ? something i could try and fix at home before i take it to the exhaust place or even ford as the car is under warranty

also, what is the black plastic knob that is connected to the unit that sits on top of the throttle body? as one of my mates was twisting it the other day?

Fuel filter at a guess. Did the o2 sensor get moved or changed with the exhaust?
The plastic knob is just a fliter, you can turn it without problem.

yeah, the o2 was moved but was re-fitted and looks ok

i had a mate say leads or coil?
