Hey guys

My auntie picked up a fairly clean AU S2 for $2000.

It runs fun and drives like new but there is a rattle from the engine it sounds like its comming from where the timing chain is.

The noise gets faster as the car warms up but the speed of the revs make no change to the noise.

Anyone got any ideas before i start pulling stuff apart

My first guess would be the Aux shaft retainer may have come loose.
If this happens the gear pulls forward and runs into the timing cover.

Also the tensioner may not be set correctly.
