Hey,

Just a quick question. What oil (viscosity) do you use in your AU Falcon.
I'm trying to decide which oil to go with when I drop the AU motor in, and I figure the HPR15 might be a bit too thick now.

Cheers.

i believe 10/30 was recomended.
for you 10/40 should do the trick.

but we used pennzoil gas 15/40 from new in the cab, until it hit 700,000.

any full synthetic 10/40. if it stays clean & clear on the next oil change, thats the one.

In the cab I used 10/30 up untill 400,000kms then I could hear a bit of big end bearing noise and it started to use a bit of oil. Switched over to 15/40 now its quiet as mouse and uses no oil what so ever.

Thanks for the help guys. The motor has about 40,000km on it.

I'm thinking of using Penrite HPR10, which is 10W50, which kinda of put me of it at first, but Penrite recommends it for 10W30/40 engines.

Cheers.
