Hi All,

I have an AU3 XR6, which I have posted about before but I'm just not having any luck with a diagnosis, and also being told different things by mechanics etc etc.

When the auto changes gear, there is a sharp 'clicking' noise which can be heard. This is on up and downshifts. Now the last 2 auto places i went to said 1) there's no problem, and 2). It's when it stops clicking you should be worried!. I responded with well then why don't they all make this sound then and he had no answer. I have cycled thru the different settings from economy to performance and it makes no difference. So I really need to know if I have a genuine problem or not. Is it what's called a 'solenoid pack' causing the problem

Edit: also a 'groaning' sound when shifting from 2nd to 3rd - happens only occasionallly

Secondly, the steering seems to alternate between light and heavy, with occasional shuddering at almost and full lock. Pump was replaced about 4 months ago.

Any and all help would be welcome, thanks all.
