Off topic, but kinda not...

Saturday night my mate had a tussle with a WRX.

The Rex was being a smart a*** - drove next to us while we were driving and then took off.

Two sets of lights later, there was Rexy boy, sitting at the lights.
I begged my mate to pull up next to him and have a crack.
Lights went green.
Mate was in front from 0-30 by nearly a car length, and by a nose at 70.
He pulled out after that - speed limit was 60.

His car.
A fully stock, auto 4.0 litre EF with 4 up.

It was bloody beautiful.
I wanted mate to follow him so I could mouth him.
It would have been worth the beating just to let Rexy know that a stock, auto Falcon had him to 70.

And YES the Rex was having a go.

Au Falcon off the floor does 0-100 km/h in approx 7.5 seconds.. and 1/4 mile of approx 15.5 seconds.

R33 Skyline of the floor 0-100 km/h in approx 6.9 seconds and 1/4 mile in apprix 14.6 seconds

on paper if both were stock the skyline is ahead by a second at 400 metres.. which if any of you have drag raced it is a very noticable difference

Talkin about Rex's...... at the drags the other night when i pulled a 15.2, i was up against a rex that pulled 13.6 in the same race.

After my quicker reaction time, it took him 100m just to get in front of me, wouldve been more if i didnt axle tramp all the way in first gear lol, so yes the driver is the key.

If the falcon driver has a half decent motor and a perfect launch, and the ricer has a s**t launch and heaps of wheelspin..... why cant the falcon win?

the foresters became XT's during 2004 not GT's

id give anyone a go in my XT cause the new 2.5l turbo xts are sooooo much faster than the GT's i was head to head with an xr6t the time i was trying to give it a bit.... foresters are weapons, dont underestimate them

You'll be in with a chance, RB25DET nothing special in stock form, plus your spoiler provides traction enhancing abilities beyond that of the average skyline wing.

lol a near stock xr 6 dos'nt have that many tractoin probs if any thing the spoiler will cause slower top end speed from the drag and tuubilance stock spoiler wont make anoth down force at low speeds to help with tractoin anyway...
