I'm looking at buying a au xr8 snorkel for my au falcon classic and wondered how hard it would be to do the snorkel conversion.

is this a serious question?

regardless, answer is yes its easy to do :)

i used a BA XR6T snorkel, i had to make the 2 holes slightly larger in the scoop where they hold it down to make it sit a little straighter

below is BA XR6T snorkel and standard AU side by side

I don't believe that that is true. I just put the AU/BA XR8/XR6T snorkel on my AU. The 2 you mention are the same snorkel.

The snorkel with the Tickford wings is the same snorkel but has the Tickford logo.

I'm confused lol u said u don't believe what I said to be true then u said exactly what I said ?

Yes i already knew only au had the tickford wing, I was confused by ur post. I read it that u were disagreeing but then finished by saying they are the same snorkel but one has wings and one hasn't, the op was asking any difference between xr8 snorkel and xr6t I'm asumming he ment Au which he did :) so I answered him

Just cause this topic was brought up,

What snorkels will fit an EL, was told au xr8 snorkel but the guy from ford told me there was 2 (one of which had a higher stock kw).

Also saw it needs a bit of a modification to sit snugly, any comments on this.

Thanks for your help fellas.
