Hello I recently installed a second hand motor from the wreckers into my AU2 however it runs ok besides the flat spot splutter however the wreckers had told me au 1 right through to au3 are interchangeable. well now after replacing the fuel pump fuel filter and fuel injectors plus oxy sensor the problem is still there I worked it out to be the t map sensor after i was going to swap the au 2 upper bbm manifold and as i found the wiring is different. What would be my best solution to fix this?

series 1 map sensors have a another style of plug and the wiring is revered
pin a - pin4 , pin b- pin3 ect you can use the series 2 map sensors but you will need to use the series 2 plug and reverse the wiring

Thanks it seems to run fine except for the damm flatspot or when on the highway plant your foot it surges a bit however i will get the wiring off the old motor and chuck that on and swap the upper BBM over as the au1 has 2 screws holding it in where as the au2 has one small bolt holding it on wish the wreckers mentioned this as i did ask them and also stated i knew there were a few small changes to the AU2 wireing

or should i just cut the wire from the old loom for the sensor and just reverse it and swap the upper bbm? just funny how it runs just with this small issue

It isn't as efficient as it should be the motor is in good nic low k just wondering what is the easiest way to go about it?

if you have the series 2 engine loom and map sensor , simply cut the current plug and reverse the wiring

Righto that is easy to do and there is no other sensors or wiring that need modification?
