I have an AU II Alternator - instead of 2 pins it has 3 on the reg.

How do I wire this up? - whats different.

Surely its a simple extra wire to connect.. anyone?/?

Im putting an AUII Engine in the car - hence the AUII Alternator.

The old EF one has a 2 pin plug on it to the regulator, and the new one has a 3 pin plug. I just need to know what the extra pin is, and what to connect it to.

Cheers

Well the E series do have 3 lines out, except the two going to the fusible links are joined, perhaps this is done internally. The other line goes to the charging light.
I wouldn't think this setup would've drastically changed - you just need to figure out which two lines to join together.

Have a look at the AU diags on AFF, and if you're unsure, while you're testing, add a temporary fuse or two inline just in case.

Changing internals would be a waste of time IMO.

It should plug straight in, well it did in mine. otherwise you can retain the EF one and mod the bracket to mate up to your new AU donk.
