hey just wondering how much would it cost for a full manual conversion to be done to a 1997 ford el fairmont sedan? I am starting to get bored driving my auto and am shifting it manually haha..

Will i have to contact vic roads and let them know its now a manual and s**t like that?
thanks..
Also do i have to do another 120hours of bs driving for Auto-> Manual license ? hope not..

If you do the conversion yourself, you can pick up the parts for $400-800.

Yes, you're supposed to notify VicRoads as it's goes in the registration records. They took note of it when I did my motor & gearbox changes. If you got your P plates on an auto licence, you can drive manual or auto when you get off them. I think you're supposed to drive only cars with auto gearboxes if you did your P plate test with one. Check your licence and see if it has an 'A' on it.

yeah you just have to redo the actual practical driving test in a manual and they remove the auto condition.

been meaning to do this myself for months
