If this link doesn't work try a google search typing in "Revisited Negative Boost, Part 5". and you will see the link come up with reference to autospeed and that will show you the full article.

It's an online magazine.

Reason there are EF articles is because editor bought a 5spd EF as a project car.
Semi interesting stuff.
Autospeed has been going pretty rapidly downhill in my opinion.
They used to be a bit more like Zoom, feature cars that were alot of go, not much weight on show, and some pretty good DIY articles.
They had an article recently on changing to a heavier gearknob to improve shift feel.
A whole f**k article...

It'd work I guess, more weight, more leverage, less effort.
Would work well for those with shorter gearsticks I guess.
I just thought a whole article, including a table on the weights of different gearknobs he found at a wreckers was a bit bizarre...

yes i agree, bit of a waste of an article.

a while ago i was thinking of membering up, but didnt cos nothing of real interest to me, just features on JMM cars (at the time).

good news is the editor bought a 5speed EF so some kind people who are membered there *hints to steady*, night post up links of the progress on that ef?

So what kind of Ba duct are we talking about here?

Were they all the same throughout the BA 6 cylinder range?

As they said.. the EF flows good as it is, but to reduce the restrictions by 44% thats worth doing imo.

I wonder if the BA intake would fit under the bonnet without hitting

It's because he owns an EF manual I6.

He's talking about the standard NA I6 BA ducting, there not all the same throughout the BA 6 cylinder range - the XR6T's use a different set up.

I'm very sure that the bonnet will not foul, as it does not foul on people such as myself who have fitted 3" mandrell bent air intakes and I doubt the BA one is bigger.

Definately worth doing I reckon for such small cost and big gain.

O, and he got an exy EL GT snorkel lol $55.00!!!

You only have to look at the induction pipping to see where the restrictions are. Where the bottle necks are.
