Hi! Just wondering if these are a worthwhile upgrade and if they will fit on an EF/EL or not? Another concern is that the bonnet will squash the intake, decrease power and performace?

Does anyone have one of these fitted to their E-series? Can you tell me if it's any good or not?

Thanks!

I've got one, difference is negligible.

I have a 1996 EF GLi, I'm assuming it's the standard airbox.

Is it all I'll have to do - just take out the grommet and it'll go striaght on?

lol I'm searching dictionary.com for what "negligible" means :P hope it means frickin awesome

"so small, trifling, or unimportant that it may safely be neglected or disregarded: The extra expenses were negligible."

So is it worth $40? Although it may not make much more power it's an important mod isnt it?

Really my concerns are with it being squashed by the bonnet (which is what happened on my EB when I attached the XH snorkel) and that it will have a negative effect rather than a positive one?

Looks good, did you notice much of a gain with ther box and snorkel? Is that a 3" pipe from the box to TB? Ever have the snorkel squashed by the bonnet?

How do you reckon this would work?

Is there a slot in the bottom of the BA box or something?

I've had a few AU/BA snorkels in EF/EL's and have never noticed it being squashed by the bonnet.

Just have to drill new holes to fit it.

my AU snorkel does not get squashed when i close the bonnet...

and yes.. it is 3 inch aluminium piping to the throttle body...

the box.. +
3 inch intake +
AU Tickford snorkel +
home made cold air intake plumbed through the guard into the bottom of the lower air box section...

= definatly worth it...
