Hello,wanted to know if the conrods I bought of ebay(advertised as ba/bf turbo conrods) are actually turbo rods,the part number on the rods are IR23AA,also what is the piston part number for the turbo ba/bf pistons,any help would be greatly appreciated,thanks in advance.

1R23 is the prefix for AU, AU2 6200 A. The BA Con-rods are different for the Turbo BA 6200 A, these were used until the end of the April 2006.
The change in Con-rods for Turbos came in BF from May 2006 on., Part Number BG 6200 A Standard Piston Part Numbers: BF Turbo May 2006 on BAF 6108 TSTD BA Turbo up to end April 2006 BG 6108 ESTD Hope that helps. |

Its does,they are ba turbo pistons,but not to keen on using the conrods,the egas rods would be stronger wouldnt they?so is the1R23AA a turbo conrod and are these the rods known for bending as in the early egas and turbo engines?

as papa smurf mentioned the 1r23 rod is a std au rod, not as strong as the bf turbo rod.
how much boost are you planning to run? I have had the std au rods and pistons hold 15psi all day long... if you going serious boost don't waste time on factory rods, buy some spool or atomic rods... |
