Hello i have a 2002 BA falcon XT sedan. The problem im having with it is that when i press the lock button on the remote the doors lock and unlock again and the horn sounds. But i can lock the door using the key and it locks the hole car no probs but i have to unlock it with the key and then i can unlock the other 3 doors with the remote no probs.
Can someone tell me what the problem is please. Thanks Wayne. |

Truly sounds like the Drivers door Lock, when they go they sure play up.

try replacing the drivers door actuator with a replacement unit.... easy job.

If you want to buy a NEW one they are $140.00 new from ford and $13.00 for an adapter harness.
part numbers are BAF2 F21812A lock and BAF 14A584AMC harness. |

Hey papa smurf, would that be the same part for the back passanger door?
it just wont unlock, all other doors will lock and unlock fine. |

funnily enough, I have recently have had the same problem.. the drivers side door wont lock with the remote but I can lock the whole car with the key and unlock all doors except drivers door

Hi, mine won't work with the remote but locks with the key - is that the actuator or something else?
